Dubai Lagoons is large masterplanned residential community by Damac Properties involving the convertion of over 400 hectares into ‘a Mediterranean-inspired community with white sandy beaches, a tropical island vibe and other enchanting experiences, and aesthetically-designed villas and townhouses built around stunning lagoons’.
The masterplan is divided into eight Mediterranean-inspired communities, each named after a town or region such as Santorini in Greece and Portofino in Italy.
Each community has a "hub" theme which indicates the theme of the community amenities that are located there. The eight communities are:

Inspired by the picturesque beaches, olive trees and sun-soaked charm of the French Riviera.
Malta (Play & learn hub)
Inspired by the honey-stone buildings, domes and spires and elegant old-town streets of Valletta.
Andalusia (Ladies hub)
Inspired by the cobblestone streets of the Spanish region.
Portofino (Work & play hub)
Inspired by the picturesque harbour, crystal waters and cobbled piazzetta of the quintessential Italian village.
Santorini (Central hub)
Inspired by the white sandy beaches of one of the world’s most photogenic destinations. Santorini is at the centre and contains 847 villas with white-washed and blue exteriors, colours typical of buildings on the Greek island. Amenities here include a 'Fitness & Wellness Zone' equipped with a climbing wall.
